The Department of Labor and Employment  (DOLE) on Monday said it has already exceed its target for 2018 of regularizing 312,000 workers in the last 11 months in its anti-contractualization drive.

DOLE Assistant Secretary Benjo M. Benavidez said this was the result of their inspection covering 52,000 establishments.

Seventy-three percent, or 228,000, of these workers were voluntarily absorbed by the employers, while only 84,000 were regularized through their mandatory inspection, he said.

Benavidez attributed the high rate of their voluntary compliance in their shame-campaign earlierthis year.
