The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday, March 10, launched its upgraded and fully enhanced website — sc.judiciary.gov.ph – for speedy access and complete information on all courts nationwide.

The new website also includes contact information on the offices of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), legal aid clinics, and Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) chapters for easier access to legal assistance.

It also contains information on court filing fees and requirements, requirements for posting of bail, and requests for civil wedding, among other things.

At the same time, the new website has a special info site on the Strategic Plans for Judicial Innovations, a five-year program for judicial reforms, for the public’s direct access to materials on the blueprint for reforms.

A press briefer of SC’s public information office (PIO) stated that the 2023 SC website also includes a Query Box where users can send a direct email to the SC, through the Judiciary Public Assistance Section (JPAS), on any concern.

The PIO said the “main changes in the 2023 SC website were made on its design, functionality, and content, and the visual design has been enhanced to adopt a clean and modern aesthetic.”

It said “the website’s features were also redesigned so that users can utilize them clearly, easily, and efficiently, allowing for seamless navigation and more intuitive interface.”

“Among such features are the enhanced Court Locator which now gives users not only a specific court’s contact information but also directions to the Hall of Justice using the incorporated Google Map. The contact number of a particular court can also be called directly by clicking the number displayed on the website,” it said.

The PIO said that “searching for information on the 2023 SC website has also been made more efficient with the addition of data filters to make each search specific, narrowing down search results.”

“Instructions are also added to search fields as reminder to the user to ensure searches are accurate. SC publications such as the SPJI, the Judiciary Annual Report, and Benchmark, among others, have also been enhanced for better readability, making the viewing experience online more lifelike,” it also said.

Developed and maintained by the SC’s PIO headed by Assistant Court Administrator Brian Keith F. Hosaka, “the 2023 SC Website has also been optimized for speed: the images have been compressed and plugins have been reduced to ensure the fast loading of the website’s contents.”

“The mobile-responsive 2023 SC website has been designed to be dynamic so it can easily accommodate additional features in the future, such as virtual Court tours, podcast episodes, and other multimedia materials,” the PIO said.
