THE Aviation Security Group Police prevented an alleged abduction of Chinese nationals at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 last Saturday.

Airport police’s attention was drawn at about 6:23 p.m. to a commotion involving Chinese nationals near Gate 7 of Departure curbside Terminal 3.

A Duty Officer named Ronald Bercasio reported that the Chinese nationals were forcing another Chinese individual to get inside a white Toyota Grandia Van with plate number VG 8479.

The car was parked in front of Gate 7. Immediately, Bercasio ordered them to stay away from the vehicle.

The four Chinese nationals and one Taiwanese were initially held at Gate 7 for verification.

Bercasio and other Special Operation Unit (SOU) personnel from aviation police conducted a body search of the men.

Various peso bills amounting to P260,252, passports, cellphones, handcuffs and assorted keys and identification cards were found in their possession.

The supposed victims, all males, were identified as Huanbo Xu, Jingmin Xu and Kailang Ou. All were brought to to the PNP Avsegroup office.

In interviews by the police, the victims pointed to a group of suspects who were trying to abduct them.

The suspects, all males, were identified as Jhong Ruei Yu, Zhang Lee, Yang Shuwen, Wei Chong, Ziu Cheng, Chen Xin and Qi Long.

The suspects and would-be victims including the seized evidence were turned over to PNP-AKG Headquarters at Camp Crame.
